A new heavy weight in the world of professional basketball was born this week with the live TV announcement on ESPN that LeBron James, the NBA's two time Most Valuable Player, will join up with fellow superstar Dwayne Wade; who along with Chris Bosh will make a formidable team to rival both the Boston Celtics and LA Lakers.
James' move comes after huge speculation over where the league's best player was going to move, with numerous clubs including the Clippers, Knicks and Nets chasing his signature. Many Ohio fans had hoped that he would resign with the Cavaliers for whom he has played his entire professional career with. Both he and Cleveland fans must feel a sense of disappointment at his failure to bring home a championship ring. James was quoted as saying that his desire to win championships fueled his move to Florida.
With so many offence weapons next season the Heat will be a force to be reconned with - watch this space.
